Raising Hell

After reading the book "Raising Hell" by Julie Ferwerda, I had to stop my work in translating some of the literature in English on the topic of Universal Restoration and make a comment on this wonderful work.

Julie's experience in learning and accepting this wonderful biblical message of Unviersal Restoration reminded my experience some time ago. First the doubts haunting my mind of trying to figure out the biblical trugh of a loving God, and the message I had received from traditional church about an ever lasting fire where most of the living would go through eternity had been in my life, just like Julie's for many years.

The wonder of learning that tradition was wrong and the happiness of learning that the Bible talked about an ever Loving Father who waited years for that lost son until he came back, that same loving Father who did not even let His son to reach Him, but ran to embrace his son who had been once lost and was now found had brought me to my knees to a new "conversion." Also, the though that only a father, in my case, or a mother, in Julie's that, if God allows that lost son to be lost for ever, then makes us, as parents, better parents than Him who taught us to love, even our enemies, is an attempt against God's character. Those are really tought words, but very serious ones. Gos is Love, thus he must love, not only the ones whom He has chosen (The Church of toda), but also the ones who are lost now, who will become also members of the Church Universal, all of humanity, in the future.

Julie's writing style has brought very deep theological thoughts and made them simple. The themes of this book are very easy to follow and to understand. Nevertheless, it is not a book that should be taken lightly. It brings a message that anyone can easy understand, but so deep that people could be thinking and talking about it for the rest of their lives.

This, like other books on Universal Reconciliation is a must for averyone to read, the lay person and the theologian. It is also a book that is really needed in the Hispanic and Spanish speaking comunity. This is a book that I would love to translate in the future, with Julie's permision.

Thank you Ms. Ferwerda, for such an amazing book. Keep up the good work!!!
